"LET IT BE"
foi lançado em 08 de maio de 1970
A história dos Beatles começa em 1956, quando John Lennon conheceu Paul McCartney, que se lhe juntou na banda “Quarrymen”, para, passados alguns meses, admitir também George Harrison, passando então a apresentar-se com o nome “The Nurk Twins”.Com a admissão do baterista Pete Best, o grupo mudou o nome para “Silver Beatles”; posteriormente, este viria a ser substituído por Ringo Starr, fixando-se finalmente o nome da banda em “The Beatles”, em 1961, começando as gravações em Hamburgo.
"Love Me Do" foi o primeiro grande êxito, alcançando o primeiro lugar em várias listas de sucessos. Em 1963, é gravado "Please, Please Me", que, tal como "From Me To You" e "She Loves You", alcançam também o primeiro lugar em Inglaterra.
Em 1964, o sucesso dos Beatles ultrapassa o Atlântico e chega aos EUA, dando-se a conhecer no programa televisivo de Ed Sullivan.
Os Beatles gravam o primeiro filme "A Hard Day's Night", também com enorme sucesso. Em 1965, filmam "Help!"; no final do ano, foi lançado o álbum "Rubber Soul", iniciando uma fase mais instrumental do grupo; em 1966, editam "Revolver".
Em 1967, Os Beatles gravam "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Heart's Club Band", considerado o seu melhor disco; em 1968, segue-se o “Álbum Branco”.
Em 1970, após os casamentos de Paul com Linda e de John com Yoko Ono, é editado o último disco, “Let It Be”.
