OS THE CURE NO SEU MELHOR

Começei a ouvir os The Cure com cerca de 14 anos de idade (tenho 38 anos), influenciado pelo meu primo Ismael, que vive no Canadá. Desde aí tenho acompanhado o percurso desta banda, que é uma das minhas favoritas. Ainda hoje os oiço com muito entusiasmo. Deixo aqui um dos meus temas preferidos, tocado em 1984, no Nakano Sun Plaza, em Tóquio.
Este concerto no Japão foi uma data no meio da digressão de 1984, a caminho dos Estados Unidos. Seria também o último concerto de Andy Anderson com os The Cure, pois pouco depois deste concerto seria afastado da banda por mau comportamento deixando a banda com um grande problema a poucos dias de novos concertos.
Os The Cure eram nesta altura; uma banda extremamente eficiente, com um virtuoso baterista, um baixista extremamente profissional, um guitarrista extraordinário, um teclista criativo e um alucinado Robert Smith.
